“ARE YOU READY FOR THE FAME?” – FireboyDML #PlayboyTheAlbum

FireboyDML left us speechless....

Can we just jump right into the middle of the album and say that ‘Timoti’ is our favourite? Can we do that because the choice was a difficult one but we had to force ourselves to choose from our top three.

Now that we have that out of the way, first we would like to congratulate Fireboy on delivering such an amazing body of work and we don’t say that lightly.

45 tracks and just under 45 minutes of playing time, we decided we were just Havin’ Fun with this album.

Started off with ‘Change’. Now that was an intro if ever we heard one and of course we knew our favourites that we’ve been enjoying thus far like ‘Peru’, ‘Playboy’ and ‘Bandana’ would be on there.

Let’s talk about the versatility of Fireboy on this album. He really took us to town and back with ‘Adore’, ‘Sofri’. ‘Timoti’ and ‘Havin’ Fun’. His vocal variety is something to talk about and we are still having that conversation over at the OnTheLight headquarters. Talk about fully-loaded, to say we feasted, we did more than that!!!

‘Compromise’ featuring Rema was one that was in our final three. That track was HEAVY.  We couldn’t get enough of it but let’s back it up. First things first, did you expect what you heard on ‘Adore?’ FireboyDML you are too much. We did not see that coming. The coat of many talents goes to you for sure.

We can just see all the ‘Diana’s’ of the world swaying from side to side to this one with Chris Brown and Shenseea and well let’s just stop at ‘Afro Highlife’ because we could go on and on but we know that we have to let the album speak for itself because there are not enough words to describe what Fireboy delivered to us on August 5th 2022. What a masterpiece and we cannot end without shouting out all the producers on the album ( Eskeez, PPrime, Telz, Bizzouch, Blaise Beats, Phantom, Zaki Amujei, Kel P, Shizzi, Kolten, Type A) as our mentor would say, they understood the assignment.

Executive Produced by Adedamola Adefolahan & Olamide Adedeji.

Once again, we say Thank You Fireboy. You gave us Greatness!
