To say we’ve waited for ‘Iyanya’ to come back and give us a live show is the absolute truth. We have missed this STAR and yesterday we got to feast.
Tuesday 22nd November (a weeknight) saw the Jazz Café, Camden buzzing to the brim.
From the moment Iyanya hit the stage right to the end, he commanded that stage. He had us all hooked. Guys who showed up with their girlfriends/wives made sure they held onto them tightly and we can’t blame them because Iyanya was bringing the ladies one by one up on stage and they did not, we repeat ‘Did Not’ want to leave. Lol
Iyanya performed all our old favourites from Kukere, Ur Waist, Sexy Mama and more, then he brought us up to speed with tracks from his latest album ‘The 6th Wave’. What a night it was and like comedian Eddie Kadi said on the night, many of us were guilty of forgetting just how many Hits Iyanya had served us with from back in the days but as he started to sing them, we remembered instantly.
We are so happy to have witnessed him in action and are ready for whatever he has next.
