Asake “Lungu Boy” Album Review

Let’s take a dive into the latest album by Asake, “Lungu Boy” but first Let's look at the album's key stats.

Lungu Boy is a 15-track album, with a total running time  of 48 minutes.

This album features Travis Scott, Wizkid, Central Cee, Stormzy, and Ludmilla.

The producers were P.Priime, Sarz, MagicSticks, SAK PASE, and The Compozers.

The Album

The album  as a whole is an  exploration of sounds.

Asake has taken the bold step of experimenting with new sounds, and it works remarkably well, displaying multiple sides to his artistry.

For some die-hard Asake fans, this album might come with a certain expectation—to hear more of the signature Asake sound that they've come to love.

Whilst there are definitely elements of that in Lungu Boy, this album truly pushes the boundaries of creativity, all while maintaining the authenticity that makes Asake who he is.

My favorite tracks on this album so far are  Active featuring Travis Scott,  Wave Feat Central Cee, Suru with Stormzy, Mentally, Uh Yeah, MMS featuring Wizkid, I Swear, Whine with Ludmilla, and Fuji Vibe.

I predict big things for Fuji Vibe in particular.
