The 67th Grammy Awards

Sunday 2nd February 2025, marked the 67th year and celebration of The Annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles.

Many gathered under one roof to celebrate and honor the music, musicians, producers, writers and artistry, recognising their achievements over the past 12 months.

Africa was once again well represented this year. We saw Yemi Alade, Tems, Asake, Yemi Alade and not forgetting Country Music artist, Shaboozy and actress, Cynthia Erivo who did their thing on stage with their captivating performances.

Nigerian beauty Tems won her second Grammy Award of her career for Best African Music Performance for “Love Me JeJe”. Tems won her first Grammy back in 2023 for her feature on the Future and Drakes song, “Wait For You”. So from the On The Light Team, Congratulations to you Tems 🥳

Asake took t0 the red carpet in an army green camouflage print trousers and jacket outfit. He sported his new look that shook social media a few weeks ago.  His face tattoos, nose piercings and short Afro had people talking. Asake was nominated for Best African Performance for song “MMS” featuring Wiz Kid.

Yemi Alade came through with a stunning cultural, elegance and heritage Edo traditional red dress, with coral beads and Okuku head wear, honouring the great and ancient EDO Kingdom.
She was nominated for Best African Performance for her song, “Tomorrow”.
