On Thursday 6th October 2022 the African Entertainment Industry lost an icon. 'Steve Osagie' also known as 'Steve Spotlight' left the industry in shock and speechless when we all heard of his sudden demise.
The common thread that dominated all the conversations on WhatsApp, social media and verbal conversations was 'I just spoke to Steve days ago'.
Steve lived a life that was very busy but he was never too busy for people. He always found time to be there for people, help people, educate people, connect people, uplift people, encourage people, manage people and guide people. One would often wonder how he managed to do it all and fit everyone in but that was just Steve. Selfless in all his endeavours and a people's person through and through.
One cannot deny the impact that Steve made. His social media pages were a wealth of knowledge. Let's continue to glean from it. Steve managed to carve a niche for himself doing only what he alone was doing. When it came to artists and their growth, Steve made himself available every single moment of every single day.
The industry was shaken by the news of Steve's departure. We all felt that heavy blow.
We will truly miss you Steve but your impact will be felt daily, that we are sure of.
